Conférence sur les A(m)i

On March 9, 2026, at 5:30 PM, the CRIHN will welcome artist and performer Morgane Baffier, who will present a lecture-performance entitled “Conférence sur les A(m)i.”

Event description:

This lecture attempts to establish links between friends and AI (artificial intelligence). At a time when AI girlfriends are proliferating on the internet, the question arises: will our friends soon be replaced by AI? Without passing judgment, the goal is to understand how we have come to become friends with machines and what kind of future this might suggest.

Born in 1997, Morgane Baffier is a lecture-performance artist whose last name derives from the old Occitan word bafa, meaning “scam,” and this information may be important for understanding her work. Using charts, fabricated images, and videos sourced from the internet, she develops all kinds of theories and metaphysical reflections, pushing them to the point of absurdity.

She lives and works in Paris. A graduate of ENSAPC in 2020, her work has since been presented at MAC VAL (2025), the Palais de Tokyo (2025), the Art & Design Center of Fuzhou in China (2024), the Théâtre des expositions at the Beaux-Arts de Paris (2023), the 66th Salon de Montrouge in Paris (2022), the Mulhouse Biennale (2021), as well as at La Graineterie in Houilles in 2023.

The event is open to everyone and will be followed by a friendly wine-and-cheese reception.

Additional information is available on the CRIHN website.
