Colloquium "Between Science and Magic: Bodies of Knowledge in the Cultures of Imagination"

The Laboratoire des Imaginaires hosts its annual colloquium from February 28th to March 1st 2023. Titled "Between Science and Magic: Bodies of Knowledge in the Cultures of Imagination", this colloquium proposes to retrace links between two differents understandings of knowledge depending on cultures of imagination in order to consider which definitions and representations are shown to the public at large. Emmanuelle Lescouet, a coorganisor of the colloquium, will present "Database, magie et visualisations" and "Linguistic Fiction". Yann Audin will present "De mathématicien à prophète: sentiment anti-scientifique et cognition motivée dans Prélude à Fondation".
